Steve Taylor is a major sponsor of Golf and Rugby Union in the Central Highlands region of Queensland.

He supports many other local charities and community groups.

This includes Australian Breast Feeding Association for whom he annually provides a mother’s room in the “Steve Taylor Pavilion” at AgGrow Field Days held in Emerald every July.

Steve has been "House Director" of Emerald Golf Club and President of the Emerald Chamber of Commerce, Central Highland regional councilor for Commerce Queensland and Steve is also a member of the Advisory Committee for CQ University Australia.
